Vicious Kitten Return to The Maritime – Barbican, Plymouth!

12th April 2025 saw us back at one of our favourite haunts—The Maritime Inn on Plymouth’s historic Barbican—and this one was packed with personality, power vocals, and mid-song fist pumps galore!

It was busier than expected, especially with Easter weekend just around the corner, but the energy was absolutely spot on. The crowd was in great spirits—including a cheerful bunch of Sheffield United fans, who took their team’s loss to local heroes Plymouth Argyle in their stride. The banter between fans added a brilliant vibe to the night.

The night got off to an unforgettable start. As we wrapped up our first song—Walking on Sunshine—the audience exploded into a spontaneous singalong of Zombie (The Cranberries), and we couldn’t say no to that kind of energy. So we threw it straight back at them, and the place went wild.

It was one of those nights where everything just clicked: loads of mid-singing fist pumps, warm faces, and a level of interaction we absolutely live for. Hannah even made a couple of new Facebook friends mid-song—that’s how friendly and fun the crowd was!

We even captured a beautiful moment of mutual band-and-crowd appreciation during Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. Check out the wholesome video—we're not crying, you're crying.

Thank you to everyone who came and made it another unforgettable night at The Maritime.

We’re taking a little break from full band shows next weekend, but you can still catch some live music vibes—Hannah and Charlie's acoustic duo, The Pause, will be playing at The Ship Inn, Looe on Friday 18th April in the evening, and then bringing acoustic energy to The London Inn, Plympton on Sunday afternoon from 3pm. Come down and soak up the mix of chilled and upbeat tunes with us! Our next full band gig is at The Joshua Reynolds, Plympton, Plymouth on Saturday 26th April, so get it in your diaries!

We’ll be back soon—so keep an eye on the Gigs Page and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to see where we’re heading next!

Until next time—stay fierce, stay wild, and most importantly, stay vicious! 🎸😼

Vicious Kitten Debut at Johnston Social Club, Keyham – 5th April 2025

We made our first ever appearance at The Johnston Social Club in Keyham, Plymouth on Saturday 5th April 2025, and wow—what a night!

From the moment we arrived, we were met with a warm and friendly welcome, and by the time we packed up, the goodbye was even warmer. The lovely crowd gave us loads of praise (we're blushing 😳), and the energy in the room made it clear we’ll be counting down the days until we’re back there on 8th November 2025.

We rolled in with our trademark high-energy setlist, packed with crowd-pleasers. Alongside favourites like Mr. Brightside (The Killers), Don’t Stop Me Now (Queen), Sweet Child O’ Mine (Guns N’ Roses), and Teenage Dirtbag (Wheatus), we threw in feel-good bangers like Call Me (Blondie), Proud Mary (Tina/Creedence), and Mamma Mia (ABBA) that had the whole room singing along.

It was an unforgettable first night at this fab venue, and we’re already buzzing for our return in November!

But first... we’re heading back to The Maritime Inn on the Barbican, Plymouth next week. Can’t wait to catch up with more of you there—let’s keep the party rolling!

Check out all our upcoming gigs on our Gigs and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to stay in the loop.

Until next time—stay fierce, stay wild, and most importantly, stay vicious! 🎸😼

Absolutely one of the best bands that we’ve had the pleasure of hosting over the years. Quality from start to finish and we had a fantastic evening. Roll on November when you’re back again.

🎸 Vicious Kitten Rock The Colebrook Inn – Plympton! 😼

29th March 2025 saw us back in action at The Colebrook Inn, Plympton, and once again, it was a night to remember. Another busy crowd, another killer vibe—and yet again, we were reminded why we love playing here so much!

We packed in an absolutely stacked setlist, including: Walking on Sunshine, 9 to 5, Valerie, Africa, Simply the Best, Sweet Dreams, Mr. Brightside, Don’t Stop Me Now, Mamma Mia, Livin’ on a Prayer, Sex on Fire, Teenage Kicks, Locked Out of Heaven, Shut Up and Dance, Run, and our mashups of Highway to Hell/Teen Spirit and Zombie/Beat It—to name just a few!

It was great to see some familiar faces in the crowd—your continued support means the world to us. And although we may have pushed our luck slightly with the very strict 11pm cut-off, we only ran over by a minute (we blame the encore energy!).

We're buzzing to say we’ll be back at The Colebrook Inn on 24th May 2025—mark it down, tell your mates, and get ready to sing, dance, and rock with us all over again!

As always, you can find all upcoming dates on our Gigs, and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to stay in the loop.

Until next time—stay fierce, stay wild, and most importantly, stay vicious! 🎸😼

🎸 Vicious Kitten Bring Live Music to The Ship Inn – Polperro! 😼

On Saturday 22nd March 2025, we took a road trip down to the stunning village of Polperro in Looe, Cornwall for our debut gig at The Ship Inn—and what a night it turned out to be!

From the first chord, we knew we were in for a good one. Despite a cheeky little technical glitch with a new lighting scene (cheers, tech gremlins), we powered through, and everything was back on point for the second half.

Speaking of the second half... Dan’s snare drum stand had other ideas. Mid-song, it decided it had done enough for the night and folded under pressure. But fear not—a hero from the dance floor leapt into action, diving in to hold the drum steady till the end of the track. Absolute legend, mate—amazing catch and serious commitment to the groove!

It was an absolute pleasure to meet a great mix of locals and holidaymakers—Polperro is as friendly as it is beautiful. The crowd were up for a party from the get-go, and the atmosphere was buzzing.

We’re buzzing too, because the venue owner has confirmed we’ll definitely be coming back—so keep an eye on our Gigs page for updates, and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok (@vicious.kitten) to stay in the loop!—so keep an eye on our Gigs page at viciouskitten.band for dates and details! 🎸😼

Also—side note—the food menu looked (and smelled) amazing. We’ll definitely be digging into that next time!

Until next time—stay fierce, stay wild, and most importantly, stay vicious! 🎸😼

Vicious Kitten Rock The London Inn – Okehampton! March 2025

Another weekend, another unforgettable gig! This time, we brought the noise to The London Inn, Okehampton on 15th March 2025, a fantastic venue for live music with the added bonus of an actual stage—always a treat!

We kept the energy high with a setlist packed full of rock, pop, and classic anthems. From Iris (Goo Goo Dolls) and Eye of the Tiger (Survivor) to Man! I Feel Like A Woman (Shania Twain) and Welcome to the Jungle (Guns N’ Roses), we had something for everyone.

One of the night’s standout moments was a completely impromptu request for My Immortal by Evanescence. While Han and Charlie know it well from their acoustic sets with The Pause, the rest of the band had to keep up with the chord changes in real-time—no pressure, right? But in true Vicious Kitten style, we made it work, and the crowd loved it!

For those who may have been feeling a little down after the Six Nations rugby result, we were on hand to lift spirits and bring the party vibes back. Nothing like a bit of live music to shake off a disappointing scoreline!

A huge shoutout to the team at The London Inn for having us, and we’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be back there on 21st June 2025, 20th September 2025, 13th December 2025, and the big one—New Year's Eve 2025! We’re also stoked to announce that we’ll be playing at their sister venue, The Copper Key in North Tawton, for 7th June 2025, 27th September 2025, and 20th December 2025. We’re buzzing to be heading back after playing at their grand reopening night!

A Weekend of Rock – Vicious Kitten Take Over Plymouth for the first weekend of March '25

What a weekend! 2025 is off to a killer start, and we couldn’t have asked for a better couple of gigs to keep the momentum rolling. On Friday night, we hit The George Inn, Plympton, where we were joined by some good friends who came to support us—including Alex, who brought along a guitar he built himself! Charlie had the honour of playing it, even though Alex forgot the strap (rookie error, mate). Nevertheless, it made its public debut in the encore with a roaring version of Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana, and we’ve got to say—it sounded awesome!

Saturday night saw us rocking out at The Maritime, Plymouth Barbican, another packed-out venue with an absolutely electric crowd. We threw in a new song for the weekend—Eye of the Tiger by Survivor—and the energy in the room was unreal. From start to finish, both nights were full of epic singalongs, jumping, and some seriously impressive dance moves from the audience.

A special shoutout to Gemma and Ben, who had previously seen our acoustic duo The Pause but caught the full band for the first time this weekend! They came to check us out—we can’t wait to play at your wedding, guys!

Our setlist was stacked with classics and crowd favourites, spanning rock, pop, and anthemic hits. From the feel-good vibes of Walking on Sunshine (Katrina & The Waves) and Valerie (The Zutons/Amy Winehouse) to the high-energy power of Livin’ on a Prayer (Bon Jovi) and Sweet Child O’ Mine (Guns N’ Roses), we had something for everyone. The audience belted out Simply the Best (Tina Turner), danced their hearts out to Shut Up and Dance (Walk the Moon), and rocked out to Welcome to the Jungle (Guns N’ Roses). And of course, Mamma Mia (ABBA) had the whole place singing along!

It’s safe to say 2025 is shaping up to be an incredible year, and we can’t wait for all the gigs ahead and the amazing people we’ll meet (and rock out with) along the way!

Speaking of rocking out, our socials are buzzing right now—come be part of the madness! Hit us up on Facebook and Instagram (@viciouskittenband) and now on TikTok (@vicious.kitten) for all the latest gig updates and plenty more.

Until next time—stay loud, stay wild, and keep those air guitars ready!

Unrehearsed, Unstoppable – Vicious Kitten Rock Wadebridge!

We like to keep things professional… most of the time. But in the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll, we decided to throw two brand-new songs into the set—completely unrehearsed. That’s right, no safety net, no warm-up, just vibes. ‘Iris’ by Goo Goo Dolls and ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’ by Whitney Houston made their Vicious Kitten debut. And, despite the absolute lack of preparation (or maybe because of it?), they went down an absolute storm! Special shoutout to Hannah, who’s been waiting ages to belt out ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’ on stage—safe to say, she nailed it.

Behind the Kit – A Drummer’s Delight

Meanwhile, in the engine room of the band, Dan brought out his brand-new double kick pedal for its grand debut. You might think that means blast beats and metal mayhem, but fear not—just some tasteful extra punch to keep the grooves driving. It added just the right amount of extra power—subtle, yet effective. Completely unnecessary for Whitney Houston... but it sounded fantastic on our rocked-up version of 'I Need a Hero'! And of course, we did it anyway.

A Crowd That Knows How to Party

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by some lovely familiar faces who had seen us last time and were excited to see us again—which we take as the highest form of flattery. The Swan Hotel in Wadebridge, Cornwall, was packed, the atmosphere electric, and the crowd in full voice. We love a high-energy audience, and Wadebridge delivered once again! The dancefloor was bouncing, the singalongs were borderline deafening, and we even had a few professional-level air guitarists in the front row. It was well worth the little road trip from Plymouth and Tavistock into Cornwall!

Shoutouts & Thank Yous

Massive thanks to the wonderful bar staff for keeping everyone well-hydrated (very important for proper dance moves) and to security for keeping us all in line (which is no small task). You lot were awesome, as always.

To everyone who came down, sang their hearts out, and made it a night to remember—thank you! We can’t wait to be back.

See you next time, Wadebridge!
