Finally, massive thanks to Sarah for keeping the kittens ticking over while Hannah was off.
We had a fantastic weekend of public gigs last weekend. Both nights were played to lively crowds having great night out. We also got to test out a few new additions to our set list, which turned out to be great song choices to fill a dance floor and get everyone singing (or shouting) along.
On Friday in John Gandys, Exeter, we were lucky enough to have a good friend and former band mate Scotty along to take some professional photographs of the gig. He takes some great photos, everything from gigs to beautiful landscapes to weddings. Check out his webpage: www.scottcalnon-photography.com
and the link to the album on Facebook is here. - You can also like his Facebook page from there.
We would like a say a huge thanks to Scotty, the venue and staff at John Gandys and the St Rumons Club, plus everyone who came along and had a great night out with us that weekend.
Saturday just gone we played a wedding reception for someone who has been coming to watch the band for years. The venue was Mount Tavy Cottages, a picturesque location just outside of Tavistock, with the reception being held inside of a huge marquee tent. The sun was shining all evening as people had a few drinks to "loosen" themselves up before they gave it all they had on the dance floor!! Everyone, including ourselves had a fantastic night and it was an honour to play and be part of such a great day!
Well that's another year gone!! Out with 2015 and in with 2016! We were lucky enough to be invited to perform at The Old Inn in Widdecombe on the Moor.. A beautiful 14th century pub plonked right in the middle of the moors.
There were quite a few familiar friendly faces we remembered from the last time we played here. All the staff and guests were really friendly and inviting and created a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish! We steamed through 2 one hour sets and finished just before midnight to see the new year in. Everyone was stood outside with drinks in hand, listening to the bell ringers giving it stacks in the local church, whilst everyone shook hands and embraced one another in true NYE fashion. So that was the new year done, but we weren't!! We rocked out for another half hour, spurred on by a crowd who would have had us play all night if we were allowed! What a fantastic night, and we're proud to be part of it. Thanks to everyone at The Old Inn and all the guests who turned up to make New Year's Eve 2015 a night to remember!

This Saturday saw us play our last gig at The Barbican Live Lounge until 2016. And what a gig it was too!! An energetic 2 hour set in which the band played what was probably one of our best performances of the year! Spurred on by the enthusiasm of the crowd, which consisted of a lot of people out on their Christmas night celebrations, we hammered out a rocking set, finished off with a Mariah Carey Christmas classic, (cheesey but hey, it's Crimbo!) Thanks to everyone who made it a great evening!
We were lucky enough to be able to be part of the Looe Festival this year. And what a great night it was too!! The town was buzzing, and The Ship Inn where we were playing was equally buzzing, with people squashed in to every inch of the pub. After a quick but claustrophobic set up, the band rocked out on all 4 cylinders, spurred on by a really enthusiastic crowd who gave it their all from start to finish, and still wanted to keep going after we had finished a 2 hour gig and 2 encores!! An amazing turn out considering Jools Holland was playing just up the road at the same time! Thanks to everyone who made it a really good night!
We all had a fantastic gig last night at The Creeks End in Kingsbridge. Brilliant venue for live music, with a friendly crowd who really gave it all they had for 2 hours solid!! Hats off guys and girls! We will be returning there again in 2016!
